الأريكة هي مقعد مريح له ظهر ومسندان للذراعين، مُصمم ليجلس عليه عدة أشخاص ويوضع عادة في غرفة المعيشة.

كلمة 'sofas' هي جمع 'sofa' (وليس 'sofaes'). تعبيرات شائعة: 'leather sofas'، 'comfortable sofas'، 'sofa bed'. أحيانًا يُستخدم 'couch' كمرادف، ولكن 'sofa' أكثر رسمية قليلاً.
