물이나 액체가 옷이나 종이 같은 소재를 완전히 통과해서 전체가 젖어버리는 상태를 의미합니다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

주로 물이나 액체가 천이나 종이처럼 흡수되는 재질을 천천히 통과할 때 사용합니다. ‘My socks were soaked through’처럼 자주 쓰입니다. 단단한 것에는 사용하지 않습니다.
