Makas ya da keskin bir aletle hızlı ve küçük bir şekilde bir şey kesmek. Genellikle saç, kağıt gibi malzemelerde kullanılır.

'Snipped' küçük ve düzgün kesimler için kullanılır, örn. 'snipped a piece of hair'. Büyük veya kaba kesimlerde kullanılmaz.
