誰かや何かに、とても静かに、バレないように近づくこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

たいていはカジュアルな表現。ゲームやイタズラ、物語で使われ、人や動物、物にも使える。'someone'や'something'を続けて使うことが多い。'sneak up on'とは異なり、そちらは驚かせる意味が強い。
