肩や背中を丸めて椅子などに深く沈み込む姿勢を指し、疲れた時や気を抜いた時によく見られます。

カジュアルなたとえ方で、あまり良い姿勢ではなく、疲れや気だるさ、目立ちたくない時に使います。「sit down（座る）」よりもだらしない印象です。例:「ソファでslouch down」など。
