अक्सर किसी घटना या समय के साथ प्रयोग होता है ('sleep through the alarm', 'sleep through the night')। इसका अर्थ है शोर या रुकावट के बावजूद न जागना। 'oversleep' (ज्यादा देर तक सोना) से अलग है। साधारण, अनौपचारिक प्रयोग।
