Definition
Nhẹ nhàng lấy lớp mỏng trên bề mặt chất lỏng (như vớt kem sữa); cũng có nghĩa là biển thủ một phần tiền bạc, thường là không trung thực.
Usage Notes (Vietnamese)
Thường dùng trong giao tiếp. Có thể gặp khi nói về nấu ăn (lớp nổi trên mặt nước, súp) hoặc khi nói về biển thủ tiền. Dạng phổ biến: 'skim cream off', 'skim off profits'. Không nhầm với 'skim' (đọc lướt qua).
