পিঠ সোজা রেখে শরীরের নিম্নাংশে ভর দিয়ে সাধারণত চেয়ার বা অনুরূপ জায়গায় থাকার অবস্থা।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
'sit down', 'sit still', কিংবা 'sit for an exam' শব্দগুচ্ছগুলোতে প্রায়ই ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'seat' নামক শব্দের সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
