副鼻腔炎

Definition

副鼻腔炎は、顔の中にある空洞（副鼻腔）が炎症や感染を起こし、痛みや鼻づまりなどの症状が出る病気です。

「副鼻腔炎」は医療用語ですが、日常会話では「蓄膿症」とも呼ばれます。慢性的に繰り返す場合は「慢性副鼻腔炎」と言います。「風邪」と間違われることもあります。
