Definition
높은 위치에서 천천히 아래로 내려가다. 주로 무게, 피로, 슬픔, 붕괴로 인해 발생. 사물이나 사람이 실제로 아래로 내려가거나, 감정적으로 '무너지는' 데도 쓴다.

'Sink down'은 부드럽고 천천히 아래로 내려가는 느낌을 나타냄. 보통 '의자', '침대', '무릎', 감정과 함께 사용. 묘사적, 문학적 어감. 갑작스런 하락에는 잘 쓰지 않음.
