Definition

কোনো কিছুর ওপরের অংশে হালকা পোড়ার মতো দাগ হওয়া, যেন তা পুরোপুরি পোড়ে না।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

প্রধাণত চুল, কাপড় বা খাবারকে আংশিক পোড়ানোর ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'singe your hair', 'singe the edges' এসব বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'পোড়া' (পুরোপুরি) থেকে আলাদা।
