'Shorted' का अर्थ है (1) किसी संपत्ति को बेच देना इस उम्मीद में कि इसकी कीमत घटेगी (वित्त), या (2) बिजली में शॉर्ट सर्किट करना।

यह शब्द वित्त और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स में तकनीकी है। वित्त में 'shorted' का मतलब शेयर या संपत्ति गिरने पर दाँव लगाना है। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स में इसका मतलब शॉर्ट सर्किट से है। भौतिक लंबाई के लिए नहीं। 'short' (छोटा) से अलग प्रयोग है।
