'Shortcake' terimi ABD'de en çok 'çilekli shortcake' için kullanılır. Normal kek kadar yumuşak değil, daha çok bisküviye benzer dokudadır. Sadece tatlılar için kullanılır; cheesecake veya kurabiye ile karışmaz.
