浅瀬群れ（魚）

Definition

浅瀬は水中の砂や石などでできた浅い場所で、船にとって危険なことがあります。魚が大きな群れを作る際にも使います。

航海用語では浅瀬は船が危険な場所を指します。魚の場合は「魚の群れ」を指し、人間には使いません。「a shoal of fish」はイギリス英語でよく使います。

The boat avoided the shoals near the shore.

船は岸近くの**浅瀬**を避けた。
