Definition

किसी चीज़ को सतह पर रखना। यह किसी बात को लिखने या कोई नियम/कानून औपचारिक रूप से लिखित रूप में देने के लिए भी इस्तेमाल होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

सामान्य या औपचारिक अभिव्यक्ति। निर्देशों में ('set down the bag') और सरकारी/कानूनी संदर्भ में ('set down in the contract') आम है। वस्तु रखने के लिए 'put down' भी चलता है, पर लिखित/औपचारिक में 'set down' उपयुक्त है।
