分離する分ける

Definition

人や物を特徴（人種、性別、種類など）によって別々のグループに分けること。物質などを分ける場合にも使います。

フォーマルな場や歴史・法・社会問題でよく使われます。例：人種で分ける場合（'racially segregated schools'など）。理科・技術の分野でも「分離する」として使います。

In the past, some countries used laws to segregate people by race.

過去には、一部の国で法律によって人々を人種で**分離**していた。
