汚れを力を入れてきれいにすること、または何かを見つけるために場所や資料を徹底的に探すこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「scour」は汚れ落としや徹底的な捜索など、かなり力や時間をかける場合に使います。軽く探す時には使いません。
