"scorch" in Bengali
Definition
তাপে কোনো কিছুর উপরের অংশ ঝলসে বা হালকা পোড়া হয়ে গেলে, তাতে কালো বা বাদামী দাগ হয়, কিন্তু পুরোপুরি পোড়ে না।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
সাধারণত উপরের অংশেই সীমাবদ্ধ পোড়ার ইঙ্গিত দেয়, পরিপূর্ণ পোড়ে না। সাধারণত 'ঝলসে যাওয়া জামা', 'সূর্যের ঝলসানি' ইত্যাদি ভাবে ব্যবহার হয়।
