Şüpheci, genel olarak kabul gören fikir veya iddialara kanıt olmadan inanmayan, sorgulayan kişidir.

Genellikle bilim, din veya yeni fikirler tartışılırken kullanılır. 'climate change sceptic', iklim değişikliğinden şüphe eden kişi anlamına gelir. Sadece karşı çıkan değil, kanıt isteyen kişiyi tarif eder.
