Definition
O ato de detetar ou perceber um cheiro, ou de dar fragrância agradável a algo. Pode referir-se a animais a seguir um cheiro ou pessoas a perfumar algo.
Usage Notes (Portuguese (PT))
Utilizado sobretudo para animais (como cães) que seguem cheiros, ou para perfumar objetos. Mais formal/literário; normalmente usa-se 'cheirar' para pessoas. Expressões comuns: 'scenting prey', 'scenting the air'. Não é sempre intercambiável com 'smelling'.
