Definition

‘말하다’의 옛날 표현으로, 주로 성경이나 고전 문서에서 사용됩니다.

현대 한국어에서는 사용되지 않으며, 성경 등 고전, 종교 문헌에서만 나옵니다.

He saith he is the king.

그는 자신이 왕이라고 **이르노라**.

The wise man saith nothing.

지혜로운 자는 아무것도 **말하지 않노라**.

'Peace,' the angel saith to them.

‘평안하라’고 천사가 그들에게 **이르노라**.
