스포츠에서 대회의 각 경주나 예선 경기 등을 말합니다. 보통 예선이나 라운드별 경기에서 사용됩니다.

주로 육상 등 스포츠 경기의 다양한 라운드나 경주를 가리킬 때 쓰입니다. 일상 대화에서는 거의 사용되지 않습니다.
