दौड़ने वाले लोग, विशेष रूप से खेल या व्यायाम के रूप में। इसका अर्थ संदेश या सामान पहुंचाने वाला व्यक्ति या लंबा और संकरा गलीचा भी हो सकता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

सबसे अधिक दौड़ने या प्रतिस्पर्धा करने वालों के लिए प्रयोग होता है। 'Front-runner' (अग्रणी), 'runner-up' (उपविजेता) जैसे यौगिक शब्दों में भी आता है। 'Table runner' मेज़पोश होता है।
