Definition

人々が口論したり遊んだりして騒がしくなること、大きな騒ぎや混乱。

主に子供やグループのにぎやかな場面で使うカジュアルな表現。「make a rumpus」は騒ぎを起こす、「cause a rumpus」は混乱を引き起こす意味で、物を壊す意味はない。

The children made a rumpus in the living room.

子供たちがリビングで**騒ぎ**を起こした。
