A superfície plana ou inclinada no topo de um edifício, onde por vezes é possível andar, relaxar ou fazer eventos.

Refere-se sobretudo ao topo acessível do edifício, especialmente usado para lazer ou eventos ('festa no telhado', 'jardim no telhado'). Raramente se usa para casas comuns. Muito comum: 'no telhado'.
