Definition

皮膚に赤い輪のようなかゆみを伴う発疹ができる、真菌による感染症です。虫が原因ではありません。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

"白癬"は真菌によるもので、虫ではありません。子どもやペットにも多く見られます。「白癬の感染」「白癬を治す」などの表現で使います。湿疹など他の皮膚疾患と混同しないよう注意してください。
