누군가에게 전화를 하다, 주로 간단히 확인하거나 짧게 연락할 때 사용. 주로 영국 영어에서 사용됨.

"Ring round"는 영국식 영어의 비격식적 표현으로 전화하다라는 뜻. 'I'll ring round...'처럼 쓰인다. 미국식 영어에선 "call"을 더 많이 씀.
