何かに強い嫌悪感や道徳的ショックを感じ、ときに怒りや拒否で反応すること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にフォーマルまたは文学的表現。英語では名詞や動名詞を後ろにとり（'revolted at the idea'）、行動や考えに対する強い道徳的反応を表す。“revolt against”は実際の反乱や抵抗に使う。
