指对某事进行抵抗、不向其屈服，或克制自己不去做想做的事。它可以表示对力量、观点、变化的反抗，也可以表示抵挡诱惑的自制力。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))

常见搭配有 'resist pressure', 'resist change', 'resist temptation', 'resist the urge to...'. 'Resist' 通常比 'fight' 更正式，在口语和书面语中都很常见。不要说 'resist to'；要直接说 'resist' 后接宾语，或用 'resist doing'。
