Definition
Volver algo a su estado o configuración original, especialmente después de un error o para empezar de nuevo. Muy usado con dispositivos electrónicos, computadoras o situaciones donde se empieza de cero.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa mucho como verbo ('resetear la contraseña', 'reiniciar el dispositivo') y como sustantivo ('botón de reset'). Es neutro o formal. No confundir con 'reiniciar' que a veces solo implica volver a empezar, mientras que 'reset' borra el estado anterior.
