رفض قبول أو دعم شيء ما أو الارتباط به؛ ويُستخدم أيضًا في رفض معتقد أو اتفاق أو ادعاء رسمياً.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

كلمة رسمية تُستخدم غالباً في السياقات القانونية أو الأكاديمية. من الشائع قول 'repudiate violence' أو 'repudiate a claim'. لا تخلط بينها وبين 'refute' (يفند أو يثبت خطأه).
