抑圧する抑える
Definition
自分や他人の感情、考え、行動を力や圧力で抑えること。特に感情や欲求をコントロールする場合に使われる。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
「repressing」はより形式的・心理的な場面で使われることが多いです。「repressing anger」など感情に対してや、当局がデモを弾圧する場面などに使います。「suppress」はより強い、外部からの抑圧に使われます。
