勧める

Definition

誰かや何かが良い、または適切だと伝え、それを使ったり行ったりするよう勧めること。主にアドバイスをするときに使う。

主にフォーマルまたはニュートラルな場面で使われます。'医者'や'先生'などがよく主語になります。「doing」や「recommend that you...」の形でよく使います。「advise」と違いは、警告ではなく提案的な意味です。

My doctor recommends more exercise.

私の医者はもっと運動することを**勧めます**。

The guide recommends this restaurant.

ガイドはこのレストランを**勧めます**。

She always recommends reading before bed.

彼女はいつも寝る前に読書することを**勧めます**。
