Definition

信頼できる人や専門家から、何かをすべきだと勧められる意見や提案のこと。

「recommendation」はフォーマルにもカジュアルにも使われます。「recommendationsをもらう」「recommendationsに従う」といった使い方が一般的です。ただの提案よりも強い意味があることがあります。

The teacher gave us some recommendations for improving our writing.
