Definition

相互性とは、双方が利益を得るために似たような行為やものをお互いに交換することです。たとえば、与えた分だけ返ってくる関係を指します。

この言葉は主にフォーマルな場や法律、学術分野で使われます。「reciprocity agreement（互恵協定）」などの表現で見かけます。日常会話ではあまり使いません。

Reciprocity is important in friendships.

友情では**相互性**が大切です。

Trade between countries often relies on reciprocity.

国同士の貿易はしばしば**相互性**に依存しています。
