ऐसी जगह में घूमना जो जरूरत से बहुत बड़ी या खाली हो, या किसी बड़े जगह में घूमने से आवाज़ आना।

अमूमन अनौपचारिक है। इसका प्रयोग तब होता है जब कोई व्यक्ति या वस्तु बहुत बड़े, खाली जगह में हो ('rattle around in a house')। यह मशीन के शोर के लिए नहीं, बल्कि खालीपन या अनचाहा शोर के लिए है।
