寒さや恐怖、興奮、強い感情によって、少し震えること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

'quivering'は'shaking'より詩的で丁寧な表現。『quivering voice（震える声）』のように名詞の前で多用され、感情の揺れや繊細な動きを表す。
