Definition

중요하지 않은 일을 하면서 시간을 보내거나, 아무 목적 없이 빈둥거리며 시간을 낭비하는 것.

미국 영어에서 자주 쓰이는 비공식적 표현이며 가벼운 무시의 뉘앙스도 포함될 수 있음. 'putz around the house'와 같이 장소와 자주 쓰임. 'putter around'도 유사하지만 덜 부정적. 공식적인 자리에서는 사용을 피할 것.
