تعبير غير رسمي ويُستخدم غالباً في الإنجليزية الأمريكية. عادة ما يُقال مع أماكن مثل 'putz around the house'. 'putter around' كلمة مقاربة وأكثر حيادية. يُفضل تجنبها في المواقف الرسمية.
