Definition

बिना किसी खास मकसद या जल्दी के छोटे-मोटे काम करते हुए इधर-उधर घूमना। अक्सर घर में आराम से समय बिताने के लिए कहा जाता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

बहुत ही अनौपचारिक और थोड़ा पुराना मुहावरा; ब्रिटिश अंग्रेजी में आम है। घर में छोटे-मोटे काम या शौक में बेतकल्लुफ़ी से समय बिताने का भाव देता है। 'potter about' भी यही मायने रखता है।
