'Put' 非常常用，而且常和很多詞搭配：'put on' 表示穿上／播放，'put in' 表示投入時間或精力，'put away' 表示收起來，'put off' 表示延後。'Puts' 用在 'she'、'he'、'it' 這類單數主語後。注意：原形、過去式和過去分詞都還是 'put'。
