Definition
কোনও গল্প, গুজব বা তথ্য এমনভাবে ছড়ানো যাতে অনেক মানুষ জানতে পারে, বিশেষত যখন তা সত্য বা নিশ্চিত নয়।
Usage Notes (Bengali)
মূলত ব্রিটিশ ইংরেজিতে ও অনানুষ্ঠানিকভাবে ব্যবহৃত হয়; সাধারণত গুজব বা অনিশ্চিত তথ্যের জন্য। আমেরিকান ইংরেজিতে 'spread' বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
