تثبيت شيء ما أو دعمه بواسطة جسم آخر حتى لا يسقط.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

غالباً يُستخدم في اللغة اليومية غير الرسمية مع كلمة 'up' (مثل propping up a chair). يُشير غالباً إلى الدعم المادي وليس الدعم العاطفي (الذي يُترجم 'supporting'). يُستخدم كفعل وليس كاسم.
