İnanç, duygu veya niyeti açıkça söylemek ya da iddia etmek. Bazen söylenenin doğru olmadığı ima edilir.
Usage Notes (Turkish)
'say' veya 'claim'den daha resmî veya edebi bir ifadedir. 'profess love/faith/innocence/ignorance' gibi kalıplarla sık kullanılır. Söylenenin doğruluğu konusunda şüphe uyandırabilir.
