会議や式典、組織などをリードして進行や運営を行うこと。主に責任ある立場の人が行います。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にフォーマルな場面（会議や式典など）で使います。「preside over a meeting」は進行役や議長を務める意味。「preside」はカジュアルな集まりでは使いません。
