「prentice」是「學徒」的舊稱，指跟隨師傅學習技藝或手藝的人，通常是在實踐中學習。

'Prentice' 現在幾乎不用，只會在經典文學或歷史場合看到。現代應使用「學徒」。日常對話不建議用 'prentice'。
