Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にフォーマルや学術的な場面で使われます。'preface something by doing/saying...'という形が多い（例：'She prefaced her remarks by thanking everyone.'）。名詞の'preface'（序文）とは違います。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
