Definition

푼툰은 물 위에 떠서 다리, 보트, 건물 등을 지지하는 빈 구조물입니다. 소형 선박이나 수상비행기의 받침대 역할을 하는 부유물도 포함됩니다.

주로 기술, 수상, 건설 분야에서 많이 쓰입니다. 'pontoon bridge', 'pontoon boat', 'seaplane pontoons'와 같이 사용됩니다. 'platoon'(부대)와 혼동하지 마세요.
