“poly”是“多配戀者”（指經大家同意後與多位有戀愛關係者）的簡稱。在談論布料時，也可指“聚酯纖維”這種人工合成材料的簡稱。

多於非正式場合使用，常見於LGBTQ+或多元戀愛關係討論。依上下文可能指多配戀人也可能指聚酯纖維布料。正式場合不常用。勿與‘理工大學’簡稱混淆。
