Definition

極性とは、正と負など、2つの反対または対照的な性質や方向性を持つことです。科学（磁石や電気など）や相反する考えにも使われます。

主に科学や専門的な文脈で使われます。物理、化学、政治的意見の対立などで使われ、日常的な単純な反対には使いません。

The polarity of a magnet has a north and a south pole.
